The Clock Tower

Al De Baran is a city of canals running out in every direction from the great clock tower at its centre, with a border checkpoint to the north. Client It is where Alchemists and Super Novices change jobs, where the Kafra Corporation keeps its headquarters, and where the Snow Festival comes in December.

Most of what a visitor needs stands within a few steps of the clock tower, on the square in the middle of town.

Indoors: the Kafra headquarters, the inn and the shops

One interior map holds the town's buildings: the Kafra Corporation's headquarters in the north, the inn and the shops in the south.

The inn. Irion's late-night snack is served from 02:00 to 03:00: choose to rest there, pay 5,000 zeny, and EXP gained rises for 30 minutes. Client Each city inn has its own hour; Al De Baran's is the only one in the middle of the night. The boost has been 10% since February 2018, after an event had raised it to 100%. 2018 note

Super Novice. Tzerero changes a Novice of base level 45 and job level 10 into a Super Novice; Esseray, beside him, takes a level 99 / job 99 Super Novice past the level cap. 2023 note

The Alchemist Guild

The guild has its own map, entered from the town's south-west corner. Alchemists change jobs here, and Creators after them.

Both posts place the job change at the guild member at alde_alche 27 185 2018 note 2018 note and then call the guild “in Alberta”, at alberta 56 68. The game's files have the guild's doors at aldebaran 56 68 and aldebaran 65 53, and none in Alberta: the posts wrote the wrong town.

The Snow Festival

In December — in 2018, 2019, 2020, 2023, 2024 and 2025, by the notices — the Snow Festival Manager stands at aldebaran 174 164 for a few weeks with the festival's quests, and promotion staff in the other cities send people here. 2018 note 2020 note 2025 note Between festivals the manager is gone, so the game's files carry the festival's quests but not always the people who give them. Around Al De Baran

• The Clock Tower, in the middle of town, and the four basement floors under it.
