Nighttime Colosseum
Geffen Nighttime Colosseum
A fair and square one-on-one duel. Watched by the wealthy elite of the Dio Geffen Colosseum. They're all just acting like pathetic losers.
I've seen you often at the Magic Tournament before, and you've won quite a few times, haven't you?
This is the first time we've met. Do you know me?
I know you quite well. I've watched your matches fairly closely. So, how did it feel? The battles at the Magic Tournament, were they difficult? Or were they manageable?
Aren't they all just small fry, except for a few? There wasn't really anyone strong.
Heh~ That's better than lacking confidence. Let's continue talking business. Your first round opponent in the Magic Tournament world is set to be Archiro, right?
That's right.
Well, that guy who acts like a beginner is actually quite strong. His specialty is pretending to be a Novice and then stabbing you in the back.
No way, you must be joking.
I'm not joking. Appearing as the first opponent in the Magic Tournament and playing the trembling beginner - that's the condition he was given.
Did that guy borrow some shady money from someone? To do such a crazy thing every single time as a condition?
He volunteered to be a wide-area act in exchange for access to the underworld. All while hiding his own strength. And it's not just him. Dio Anemos, the Geffen thugs, Pyemong... They're all guys putting on pathetic loser performances. Why would they accept such a thing? All for the money. Heheheh. But their appearance at the Magic Tournament is just a mask for the bright world - in reality, they're all formidable warriors of the night. You probably think I'm crazy, but it doesn't matter. I just need to deliver the message for pay.
There's a tournament that skilled fighters like Archiro and Pyemong wanted to enter even while hiding their true colors. It's a match watched by the real wealthy elite at the nighttime Geffen Colosseum. Fair and square, one-on-one duels - there are no such soft rules there. It's a place where you fight on instinct and get rewarded according to your skill. We'd like to invite you there. What do you say? Interested?

[The Bow of Negotiation is a Man] Hey, I used to see you often at magic tournaments back in the day — you won quite a few times too, didn't you?

[Cunning Negotiator/Host] Oh, a new challenger? Let's first check the number of participants.

Unlike the Geffen Coin Magic Tournament that is said to take place in another dimension, the secretly operated Night Arena allows group entry. However, if not all party members enter, the arena's proceeding official may refuse to proceed, so you'll need to keep them satisfied.
Progress Guide
Unlike the other Geffen Coin Magic Tournaments, the Night Arena has dynamic rules.

Blut Hazehei, today I really didn't feel like heading out.
1. Participants for each round are chosen randomly. In the magic tournaments of other dimensions, a fixed opponent would appear in a fixed round, but in the arena, opponents appear randomly, starting from the weakest. An extremely powerful Archi could appear in Round 9, or a Fabre that falls with a single hit could appear in Round 1.
2. Damage taken at the outer edge of the arena. If you get pushed to the outer edge of the arena by an opponent's skill during a match, you'll take heavy damage from explosives buried in the floor, and if you're unlucky, you may even be knocked unconscious. As rounds progress, the amount of buried explosives increases, and their power increases as well. In later rounds, you may need to be more careful of the floor than your opponent. Since each round has a 1-minute time limit, being pushed to the outer edge can cause time delays that may lead directly to defeat.

[Negotiation Ritual Host] Let me warn you in advance, if you fail to win within the 1 minute match time limit, you will lose all rewards accumulated so far, so choose carefully.

3. Wealth and honor for the winner! An empty pocket for the loser... Participants can only receive rewards after winning a match in the arena, and only when they choose to forfeit the next match. Since the Night Arena is a place where participants compete for prize money, only the winner is entitled to take the reward. Naturally, if you lose, your opponent will take your prize money instead.

[The Negotiator is the Host] Hmm... Unfortunately, all the wagers placed on you have been paid out as prize money to Fei Cannabian.
[Next]
If you confidently challenge the next round and fail, all your prize money will be taken by your opponent like this. If it seems like proceeding to the next round would be too risky, it might be wiser to simply accept your reward and withdraw.
Clear Rewards
If you decide to receive your reward instead of proceeding to the next round, you will receive the rewards below.
